Introducing your online independent bookstore
Book Lovers! Friends & Family!
We’re launching an online independent bookstore called All Things Book around May 15 and we are looking for curious beta testers to help provide feedback by interacting with the new site. If you sign up as a beta tester, we will send you an email with an access link at the time of our soft launch (Anyone can opt out at any time, even if you are related to us. No offense taken.) This is a no pressure environment and it’s meant to be fun. Your role will be to explore and use the site. We’ll ask you to tell us what you like and don’t like about it, what you wish could be different, any difficulties you have navigating it, and anything else you happen to think of. Our goal is to create the best site for book lovers in existence–no small goal.
In the meantime, you might be wondering who is behind the curtain…or in front of the bookshelf…
Like you, I love to read. My house is overflowing with books, just like many of yours are. I’ve always wanted my own bookstore, but the expense has been an obstacle. So I’m starting my dream independent bookstore online. I’ve always thought about how I could bring the great elements of the independent bookstore to a website. And using my 25 years in the book industry spent as the publisher of Foghorn Press and as the Marketing & Events Director at Copperfield’s Books, that’s what we’ll be striving for. I’m working with one of the best designers in the industry, Alicia Feltman of lala design, as my partner. We are proud members of the American Booksellers Association, which boasts more than 1500 independent brick and mortar bookstores across the country. With All Things Book, we’re doing something a little different but also independent and equally committed to the standards and community ideals found in independent bookstores. Thanks for being a part of it.
